PURPLE DELIGHTS OF THE WEEK

Dear lovely people ,
hope you are having a great weekend ,
ladies i want to thank you for your lovely comments and appreciation as you visit me , they mean a lot to me .

Hey it seems i am inhabiting the blogyland too much now a days .
Look at this ...... three posts in three days ..... awwww.. unbelivable.
I am doing it ..... wooow.

As i simply want to talk to you all , and this week my place was surrounded with purple delights . it all started with the culprit bedsheet of mine , and in order to give company to my bedsheet , i started pilling all scattered purples around it ,here are few pics for you .

This is my first ever granny square , four small ones , joined together.

This is somthing i read about the shades of purple ......

Nature of Purple:

Purple has a special, almost sacred place in nature: lavender, orchid, lilac, and violet flowers are often delicate and considered precious. Because purple is derived from the mixing of a strong warm and strong cool color it has both warm and cool properties. A purple room can boost a child's imagination or an artist's creativity. Too much purple, like blue, could result in moodiness.

This is the pic of my mom's saree { mom is the shy model here }. I brought this for her from MRIGNAYANI EMPORIUM  [ a Madhya Pradesh State Emporium ]

  1. Love your mom's saree.

Have a cousin that I call the Queen of Purple. It is her favorite color. Myself, I don't think I have a drop of purple in my house . . unless I can count some of the color in a watercolor in the bathroom.

  2. Hi, Rachana...I am alive but have been so busy with my other blogs my sampler has been put on the back burner. Thanks for visiting my Buttons for Baga site...I miss you, too. I have started a new blog - climbingthedigitalmountain.blogspot.com - where I am posting my pictures as I am better learning to use my wonderful camera. I really do need to get back to my Blessing Sampler....I think of you all the time and wonder how you and your dear family are doing. I, too, love purple and even painted my kitchen and dining room purple. One day I will take a picture of them for you. Purple is one of my favorite colors.

Take care and remember I love you,

    XOXOXOXOXO Genie

  3. Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving me a beautiful comment. I also love your blog as well! Purple has been my favorite color for too many years to even list. My sewing room was a light shade of purple for years. I love the saree! I have always wanted one myself.
    Visit me anytime.

  4. Such a pretty post! Purple is one of my favorite colors. Red and blue are favorites, too.

Thanks for finding my other blog. I haven't been a faithful stitcher, so nothing to post on "inch by inch." I have way too many projects on my wish-to-make list!

  5. Hi Rachana! LOVE all the purples today! It's funny to find that you began compiling various items in purples to go with your bedsheets!!.. because I just bought brand new bedsheets and coverlet sets for MY bed, and I foresee gradually redecorating my entire bedroom now, to better match the new color I chose! I've had the same old sets for probably close to 15 to 20 years now, so I'm really happy for the change. It is long overdue!... LOVE your matching granny squares!! The colors are beautiful! I've enjoyed making granny squares ever since I was a kid!!.. Like you, I'm sure I'll be crocheting some new accessories for my room too!! LOTS of fun, isn't it?!!.. Enjoy the rest of your weekend! ~tina
