we have dense teak wood forests and hundreds of variety of flora and fonna , deers, tigers ,jackal ,
foxes , bison , peacocks . There are two national tiger reserves and two national parks in about 200kms radius.

BLESSING SQUARE : 5  TREES

The famous JUNGLE BOOK of Rudyard Kipling  is thought to have been set in Pench National Park, which lies in our district ,The Jungle Book (1894) is a collection of stories written by Rudyard Kipling.

The stories were first published in magazines in 1893–4. The original publications contained illustrations, some by Rudyard's father, John Lockwood Kipling. Kipling was born in India and spent the first six years of his childhood there. After about ten years in England, he went back to India and worked there for about six-and-half years. These stories were written when Kipling lived in Vermont. The Jungle Book, because of its moral tone, came to be used as a motivational book by the Cub Scouts, a junior element of the Scouting movement.

The ones among you who have seen the TV series Jungle book can imagine , how beautiful the life around here could be .
This reminds me of lots of blessings which we have through our jungles.
So ladies...........lot more to come.

I would like to mention Denise here for her commendable commitment towards blessing project .
she is the surely much talented and blessed .check out in her blog ---- Denise's 100 Blessings  --- ,she has maximum number of completed blocks ,that's surely motivating for a person like me .

well dear lovelies ,
have a wonderful weekend and hope to hear from you all.

  2. Rachanna -

LOVE your blocks! There is NOTHING better than to be at home and trees...oh, I just love trees. What stitches did you use for your tree - it is fabulous!

Your picture of the forest. Is that your parents backyard? To live in a forest such as that must be heavenly! Please share tons of pictures with us - I can't wait to see them.

And thank-you for all of your kind and loving comments. I'm not sure I am all that talented (just determined) and yes, I am blessed. But, thank-you for the comments you leave me - you inspire me also.

Enjoy your vacation and visiting with your family! Smiles - Denise

  4. I love having the photographs in your entry....it puts me right there along side you as I am reading your words. Also, it is so wonderful way your family is all together living as an extended family. That is such a wonderful way to live and love. I cannot find your email address on your site, and would love to send you my comments that way to be sure you get to see them. Vicki at Cheery Chick and I are trying to figure out this thing about being sure our followers get to see our moment back to them. Hugs, Genie

  5. dear friends,
thank you for your encouraging comments .
i have not used much specific stiches in stitching the tree ,i simply wanted the tree to look as green and ful as thte real ones around my home .you can say that i have used a bit midified form or rather distorted form of french knots.I hve used wool inspite of regular cotton or silk floss.

    Denise......

  8. I've never had the fortune to see jungles except on TV and in photos, but I also love trees... and of course, home, too! Your tree is awesome. Looks really great.

My needlework blogs are not on Blogger, so they can't go in your Blogger list of blogs you follow. The best way to follow them is to put them in your RSS reader (I use Google reader). To do that, you just click on the orange box in the address bar, choose the feed (I always use RSS2, but there is also Atom). If you don't see the orange box, there is also an XML Feeds section in the sidebar of my blogs and you can sign up for the feeds there, too. E-mail me if you have any problems or need any help with it.

  9. Hi Rachana, you stitch work is amazing! If you want to join in the PIF 'pay it forward' you are most welcome. It s very basic.

A PIF is where acts of kindness are done without expecting anything in return, just passing it on, hoping that the recipients will do the same and pay it forward, like a never ending chain of kindness For my PIF I will make and send a gift for the first 3 friends who post a comment to this post, requesting to join this exchange, and promising to pay it forward to 3 other persons, etc.... I don't know what my 3 gifts will be, but I can promise I will send them within the next 365 days. What YOU have to do in return then, is "Pay It Forward" by making the same announcement and promise on YOUR blog.

Does this help in explaining xxx

BTW - love the saying you added on your sidebar - Count your blessings - you might not have added those things you take for granted!

    So true!
